WELCOME TO CAREGIVERS JOURNEY:
A Spiritual Approach To Caregiving Rooted In Self-Inquiry.

The Caregivers Journey workshop is a safe and supportive setting for caregivers to connect and embrace the transformational nature of caregiving.

What is Caregiving?

Caregiving is a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows. Good news. No news. Bad news. Calm moments. Numbing moments. Anxious moments. Arguments with siblings. Disagreements with family. The person in your care not listening. Calls to 911. Hours in emergency rooms. Days in hospitals. Months in assisted living. Always questions. Few answers. A little happiness. A little joy. Sadness. Suffering. Caring. Lots of caring. And prayers. Always prayers.

Caregiving is often an unplanned journey for unprepared loved ones to an unfamiliar situation.

Most people don't volunteer for it.

Caregivers travel down foreign roads, journeying with a loved one from sickness to health or from disease to death, through chronic illness, or from old age to a final rest.

Caregiving is unexpected. Why me? Why now?

The demands of caregiving make the doing appear to be "everything, everywhere, all at once." Feelings jump from mad to sad, from glad to hurt, to afraid and ashamed, and everything in between. Guilt, grief, and suffering arise.

Physical, mental, and spiritual exhaustion sets in. Cherished routines become memories.

Finally, you admit that you need help and that your approach has failed. But you take that personally; and, you think you’re a failure.

If any of that sounds familiar to you, you’re not alone.

What is the Vision of Caregivers Journey?

The vision of Caregivers Journey is to help you be more fully YOU.

And to bring YOU, full of happiness, contentment, and compassion to the person in your care.

Caregivers Journey is not focused on how to manage the disease your loved one is facing, how to deal with doctors, nurses, insurance companies, or any other services, or how to balance caregiving with work or responsibilities to your family.

YOU are the focus of the workshop.

By attending a workshop, you may discover how to embrace the person in your care more fully; you may discover more love for the person in your care in the most challenging times; and maybe, most importantly, you may find more love and compassion for yourself.

The workshop can act as a travel guide out of suffering, shame, and unhappiness, a pilgrimage of Self-Inquiry and Self-Understanding.

“I’m so grateful for all I’ve learned about myself, to learn from each other, and for the space to share experiences without judgement — it’s had such a lightening effect, and I appreciate it so much.”

— Janel, Workshop Participant
